Lines is a photography and video series that I created exploring the horizon line that you see when driving down the Saskatchewan Highway. Each photograph was taken by pointing my camera out the window on a drive to Calgary one weekend.
To go with the series, I created a window animation, that connects all of these photos together. With this series I also experimented with the idea of drawing onto the works themselves, so those drawings are also included in the video portion. The drawings represent what you could imagine being there while starting out the window. It could be more trees or buildings, or just heightened lines created by the movement of the car.
Along with the photos, I have also created a painting to go along with this series, based on the Train-cars image.
